and bio-mass carbon compatible with the circular economy<\/strong><\/h4><p>By developing innovative batteries and associated recycling strategies to enable circular and minimised use of critical raw materials, the<strong>\u00a02Boss<\/strong>\u00a0project is seeking to make commercial batteries compatible with the circular economy, overcoming the limitations of current lithium-ion batteries and ensuring sustainable production.<\/p><p><strong>2BoSS<\/strong>\u00a0helps towards the transition to a carbon neutral economy in the following ways:<\/p><ul><li>Ensuring the\u00a0<strong>availability of raw materials\u00a0<\/strong>for battery manufacturing<\/li><li><strong>Developing and integrating effective strategies\u00a0<\/strong>for recycling their components.<\/li><li>Increasing battery\u00a0<strong>energy capacity<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>density<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>durability<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Reducing reliance on\u00a0<strong>CRMs and the presence of dispersed and intermixed metals<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Designing\u00a0<strong>cobalt-free cathodes<\/strong>\u00a0and graphite-free anodes.<\/li><li>Optimising environmental and social impact and\u00a0<strong>contributing to a more circular economy<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Programme and call:\u00a0<\/strong>ERA-LEARN with funding from the Horizon 2020
